We have recently added some new features to WIT to enhance the user experience and give more flexibility and options when producing presentations.
In this article I would like to go through each of the new features and explain what they do and how to use them.
These new features include:
- New Publish screen
- Enhancements to the Storyboard
- Advanced Presentation Features
- Split Heat Map charts over numerous slides
- Filter the Correlated Questions comparison table
- Full parental hierarchy in comparison table
- Display question scores as a percentage
- Display question scores for a single employment group in a factor level comparison table
The publish process has now been moved to it's own dedicated wizard style page. To publish a presentation now, follow these instructions:
- Add all the slides you require to the slide.
- Either click the Storyboard tab when viewing a chart or go to the user drop-down menu on the top-right of the screen and select 'Manage Storyboard' to access the presentation slides.
- Click on the 'Publish' button.
- In the Publish Presentation screen, chose which image format to use and click next.
- If you do not have the Advanced Presentation Features available, then you will be taken to the last step in the wizard where you click the Publish button.
- See the Advanced Presentation Features steps if you do have the feature available.
Enhancements to the Storyboard
The Storyboard tab in the chart pages has now been tidied up to be more aesthetically pleasing and the publish process has now been moved to it's own dedicated wizard style screen.
- Add a slide to your presentation and click on the Storyboard tab.
- Click on the publish button to be taken to the Publish Presentation screen.

- In the user drop-down menu on the top-right of the screen, select ‘Manage Storyboard’.
- Click on the ‘Add Static Slide’ button and select which static slide you wish to add and click the corresponding Add button.
- Modify the slide title, description and footer.
- Either click the Storyboard tab when viewing a chart or go to the user drop-down menu on the top-right of the screen and select 'Manage Storyboard' to access the presentation slides.
- Now chose the slide element you wish to edit (either the title, description or footer) and click the Edit button.
- Amend or add the text in the edit box.
- Click the Save button.
Split Heat Map charts over numerous slides
When exporting a heat map factor chart with a large amount of questions (e.g. My Manager factor) to a presentation, the chart is now split over numerous slides so the chart does not appear cramped on the page in the presentation.
- View a factor level Heat Map (My Manager has a large number of questions) and add the chart to a slide.
- Publish the presentation.
Filter the Correlated Questions comparison table
You can now filter the Correlated Questions comparison table by question category (e.g. Organisational Clarity or Management questions).
- View the Overall Comparison table.
- In the What Next tab click the 'Go' button for the ‘View your most highly correlated questions’ option.
- When the correlated questions comparison table is displayed, there is now an option in the What Next tab.
- Choose which question category you would like to filter the correlated question comparison table and click on the corresponding 'GO' button.
Full parental hierarchy in comparison table
When you drill in to the employment groups in the comparison table, the top table will now display all the parent employment groups of the currently selected group all the way up the hierarchy to the company overall.
- View the overall comparison table and click on an employment group.
- The employment group’s comparison table will then be displayed showing all parental employment groups in the top table.
Display question scores as a percentage
When viewing charts which display question scores, you now have the option to display these scores as either a decimal value or a percentage. To set your preference, follow these steps:
- In the user drop-down menu in the top left of the screen, select the Preferences option to go in to the preferences screen.
- Under the Score Display Options section, select how you would like scores to be displayed and click the corresponding 'Save' button.
Now when you view any charts which display a question score, they will be displayed in the format you have set.
Display question scores for a single employment group in a factor level comparison table
When viewing a factor level comparison table, you are now able to filter it by one of the employment groups included in the chart. When this is done, the question scores will appear for each question, for that employment group.
- Click on the Comparison Tables button in the main dashboard.
- Chose one of the factors by clicking on one of the buttons.
- When the factor level comparison table appears, click on the filter tab and click the filter button.
- Select the employment group you would like to filter by.
When the comparison table is produced, because it is showing only one employment group and all the questions for that factor, it is able to display the question scores.
