• How do I turn MYPrivate WiFi™'s VPN on?
In order for MYPrivate WiFi's VPN to work, you must manually turn it on. After you turn it on, it will remain on until you turn it off unless you have turned your mobile device off. If you turn your mobile device off, you must manually turn your VPN on after your mobile device is turned back on. The VPN might also get disconnected when using certain Apple devices that go to sleep. If this happens, you must manually turn the VPN on.

Note: For Android mobile devices, you can turn the VPN on directly from the MYPrivate WiFi application.

Tip: When your mobile device's VPN is on, there is an indicator in the upper left hand corner of the screen that indicates this.
    1. Go to your mobile device's Settings.
    2. Tap VPN.
    3. Use the VPN slider to turn the VPN on.
  • How does MYPrivate WiFi™ work?
When you activate your MYPrivate WiFi, it quickly builds an encrypted tunnel through your Internet connection from wherever you are to one of our secure Internet gateways. All Internet data between you and MYPrivate WiFi is encrypted from that point on.

You also are assigned a temporary and random private IP address. This private IP address cannot be traced by anyone through our server nor can anyone find your real IP address or location.
